FLIPPING vs. BUY HOLD
much is made about "flippers" "scalpers" "weak hands" "fair weather" traders, etc......
each one is a judgment call, imo.......no chart can really tell you when to flip or when to buy and hold, that will come with experience ONLY,imo......flippers provide some much need liquidity to stocks, many times.......i know that our room is often accused of being a 'flippers paradise'.....i have no idea who started that ugly rumor, lol........nothing could be closer to the truth......were in our 4th year now, and i guess one would have to ask themselves this question......."what are they doing that i'm not doing?"........well........possibly flipping.....thats not to say we dont buy and hold, because we do that too..........but for whatever reason, we dont seem to be scorned too badly for that.......ala......."that damn breakout bunch is just holding and not providing any liquidity on DIRT"........i dont know that i have ever seen a post like that, lol.......
heres the bottom line, gang: when some goober on a messageboard is paying YOUR utility bill, YOUR mortgage payment, YOUR car note, feeding YOUR family......then he'll have the right to tell you how to trade.......YOU do what YOU have to do to survive in this market, and if that includes flipping/scalping/buynholdn/etc........JUST DO IT!.......if the stock is strong, it'll survive the flippers!......IF it cant survive the flipping, trust me on this, it wasnt nearly as strong as YOU thought it was!
and one last comment........we call our buys, but not our sells, we are not interested in harming a stock that some people may be in!.........end of story
