The silicon cost of 1 MB A64 is IMO roughly triple that
of an Athlon. Packaging and test costs will be higher
too due to higher pin counts and special requirements
for the HT links although the cost adder is much less
in relative terms. I estimate that the full variable cost
of a tested and packaged A64 is 2 to 2.5x higher than
a 130 nm Athlon.
