Lenderboy, I use Scottrade. I don't know if new sign ups, using wired funds sent after registration at the local office, would be able to trade those funds that day, but I can drop a personal check off at 4pm at the local office, and it is available for trading at 1:00 the next day. I did it three times this past week to pick up 8M+ more, so they will do small amounts. Most of my shares are in Roth IRAs, so I have't used this for my margin account in a long time, so you would want to ask if that is where you intend to go. As with any business, some offices are more accomidating than others. My bank is actually closer than the ST office, but wiring money has the hassle of dealing with your bank, and getting it sent in a timely manner. Plus extra costs for a small trader. It might be worth checking out Monday though. Hope this helps, and good luck. LC
