I'll bet....

the MMs are fishing. They want someone to look at the chart, see the "volatility" and the "ranging", and be lulled into selling at the beginning of the day to catch the (I think artificial) drop, and try to do a buyback; upon which time the MMs will take those shares to walk them up and sell on a high of the week kind of thing. Leaving the one who sold, shaking his fist.
