GlobeTel Working to Complete 2006 and 2007 Financial Statements

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 30, 2008 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- GlobeTel Communications Corp. (Other OTC:GTEM.PK - News) today announced that it is preparing its financial statements for the years ended December 31, 2006 and 2007. The Company's auditors have begun the audit process and will be conducting fieldwork in the Company's offices in February. The Company expects to be able to file audited financial statements on Form 10-K for 2006 and 2007 by March 31, 2008.

GlobeTel Communications Corp. (Pink Sheets: GTEM) and TAO Technologies GmbH
today announced that, pursuant to their previously announced agreement in
principle, TAO has agreed to convey to GlobeTel, within 10 days, certain
licenses and sales rights to its lighter-than-air, remotely operated
airships for a combination of cash and GlobeTel shares. The second phase of
the transaction, which will include the formation of Sanswire-TAO GmbH as
previously contemplated, is expected to occur within ninety days.
