Is this board only for hardware problems? Today I have a software/hardware problem at work.

I had to do a spreadsheet today in excel. I worked on it for awhile and saved what I did and when I went to close excel my computer locked up. I couldn't even do Ctrl-Alt-Del. I had to just shut it down from the switch.

When I went back into excel I went to open the spreadsheet and I couldn't find it even though I had saved it. I started it all over again. I saved it again and when I went to exit, the same thing happened.

This time I went to "find" and typed in the name of the spreadsheet and it found it so I continued to work on it. Every time I exited from excel the computer locked up and when I went back the spreadsheet was not listed as being there. The only way I could pull it up was by using "find".
