It may be the products had an "end date" associated with them.

If it was a limited offer deal, then the pricing would no longer be effective after the end-date and the system would need to expire it.

No resource constraints. No world record-setting demand. Just ordinary, everyday stuff. IMO

Geez, is everyone so emotional on both sides of this investment that people always need to go to extremes?
