I'm as offended as the next guy about the non-comprehensive and selective nature of the Mitchell Report. But to suggest the guilty ones it nailed ought to walk back on the field with no penalty, and more importantly, without having come clean and admitted their full use, and without providing useful and full details on the doctors, trainers, and MLB personnel who comprise the doping network and the infrastructure that covers it up to this day, is akin to pulling an ostrich act.

Further, the logical extension of that philosophical approach to crime and punishment is that we should let the guy who just broke into your house and stole your belongings, walk scott free, because after all, more than half of all burglars who robbed other houses in your city that week were never caught, so unless they were all caught, none should be punished.
