(OTC BB:XDSL.OB - News) today announced that the well respected peer reviewed American Chemical Society publication, Langmuir, reported on the development of a new surface termed "nano nails," which has been pioneered by mPhase Technologies during the development of it's unique battery technology.

This article describes the development of a new surface which repels virtually any liquid. This surface demonstrates a transition, upon application of an electrical voltage, from superlyophobic behavior to almost complete wetting. This electrowetting phenomenon is a unique technical concept behind the development of the mPhase/AlwaysReady Smart NanoBattery.
