It's also come out that the father of Canseco's next door neighbor who has the photographic proof of Clemens' presence, actually contacted Clemens' lawyer days before the Congressional hearing and told him about the photo.

It would be reckless and foolish enough had they gone in and told that lie, simply relying on the Canseco affidavit (which I suspect was secured by a little cash on the side -- Canseco is hard-up for dough) and the code of silence of fellow players. But to have gone in and perjured himself knowing there was photographic evidence that would nail him to the wall, is completely nuts.

I can't think of rational explanation.
