Eneerg: Defender of its Technology?

..."RIM had filed a number of patent infringement suits against Good and other companies to defend its technology rights."

Isn't it ironic that RIM brought suit(s)---> "to defend its technology rights".

When IDCC does likewise, they are characterized as "toll collectors".

Anyone know of a first class "wordsmithing" outfit that might be able to help change that perception of "Toll Collector" to that of "Defender of its Technology"?
