After much reading of other peoples experience with Vista and years of observing Gates and microcraps marketing scheme of having everybody else in the world testing beta's for him AND the fact that Gates and the big media enablers are so tight in bed with each other with the DRM and pirating crapware so deeply embedded in the bowels of Vista, I'm starting to believe that Vista is a big experiment for Gates and the Media moguls in how much can they get away with controlling all content in the internet realm and how to do it. From the hardwired programs now in newer harddrives and other media hardware to the spyware like Sony's rootkit - loaded without your permission. Why else is microcrap already talking about a new OS. Gates doesn't do anything by accident.
Also, the push to converge everything to the top of your HDTV home theater with microshits little black box that does all your downloading, games, movies ... everything (all of course, trying to force everybody to use microshit media standards..) aimed at taking the personal computer out of the internet stream... Big Media ... ALL BIG MEDIA have declared the personal computer the evil hackers weapon and it must be eliminated from all media consumption of regular people. Least we become criminals and make a backup copy of something so our 11 year old can trash his disc of his game, and we can at least reload it into the same computer. Charging for music in the name of the artist is a cop out, what about all the songs from dead people and old stuff on public domain that media was charging for? The big shift in music downloads is now shoving advertising down your neck and collecting the click overs.
So, in summary, IMO... Vista sucks and is watching YOU. Big media is lying about losing a 100 billion a year in lost revenue, I don't think they even gross 10 billion in normal total sales....and we continue to be criminals in gates and sony's eyes because we want to load a song into our mp3 player that we have already paid for with a CD.
Media is lightening up a little, not because they want to help us, but because their bottom line isn't as fat as they want it......because we're not buying their DRM crap........
and on it goes...........
