anytime, you have a gsa contract

it then give you the "right" to sell your wares to any govt agency that is under the gsa umbrella......this could be anything from a post office to the pentagon........many times, a contract is no better than the sales/products/people/needs ...you cannot just walk in to a govt procurement office and bid on items just because you happen to have a like product, it doesnt work that way.....your product has to be looked over/tested/meet very rigid specs/criticized/and abused...and when i tell you that they will nit pick you to death, take it as gospel....when i was in the fastener business, i had a gsa contract, the hel i went through to get this sucker, just so i could sell nuts and bolts in fort by god polk, louisiana, was unbelievable, back then it took almost a year, now i am told that it can be fast tracked through in about 6 mos if they are looking at you hard.....business can come in many ways, from the government, it could be a SOLE SOURCE, it could be a BLANKET ORDER, with releases against the blanket order or it could come in the form of the BID PROCESS........in looking at the list of principals, it does appear that they have some heavy hitters, who know how the game is played and have some "contacts"......i am quite sure the gsa has told them we want to do some business with you, but you gotta be "approved" first.........the approval is now in hand........look for some real bonifide dollars coming in!!, just my .02.........mikey
