Some "backroom" deal at the Dem convention, like what happened in 1968 in Chicago with Humphrey in my opinion, will kill off any enthusiasm currently shown by a whole generation of young people.

I sincerely hope that does not happen. The GOP is in enough trouble and turmoil, the Dems need to take advantage of this and not F it up for years to come.

My wife volunteered to be capt for our district 11 Obama campaign. Support locally has been tremendous. In 2004, Maui had 40 people caucus in our area on Tues 19th. This year we are expecting 100's - we'll see! All because of enthusiasm for Obama.
