Celibacy...

The gift of celibacy is the special ability that God gives to certain members of the Body of Christ to remain single and enjoy it; to be unmarried and not suffer undue sexual temptations.
Matthew 19:10-12
1 Corinthians 7:7,8

I heard a sermon once on this. My notes (which I don't take the best say)

1Cor7:
Individuals of worth (single)

Talk to Him. Sing to Him.

It's all-right to be single.
Acknowledge it as good.
Three times "it is good" v1v8v26
Four times literally "it is good to be single"
You're all-right because God says you are.
It's a gift from God. v7 to be happily unmarried.
Mt.19:12 Why? physical, medical? spiritual, (eunuchs)
It's Gods gift to me.
Allow it for your growth v26-27
Don't let it dominate your life.
It's not the most important thing in life to find a partner.

That's all I have. I don't know who preached it. But that's what the preacher said. I now write down who preached the sermons I have so I know who said what. That's what the preacher said, or I wouldn't of written it down.
