Published 09/18/2006 Best Buy rolls out a new MP3P to counter Apple's iPod

"Best Buy plans to roll out a new mp3 player INSIGNIA (model: NS-DVxG) which could stand against Apple’s iPod. INSIGNIA is a private brand launched by Best Buy, which is now being used for various consumer electronics including TVs.

This new mp3 player 'NS-DVxG' will be supplied by Joytoto, a Korean digital device manufacturer', which scheduled to ship more than 100,000 units until the end of October to Best Buy.
