WANG--DIDN'T KNOW YOU HELD THIS ONE---HERE IS ONE REASON---VirTra Systems Files Patent Application on Training System
ARLINGTON, Texas, Mar 16, 2004 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX/ -- VirTra
Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: VTSI) today announced it has applied for a
United States patent on the company's IVR(TM) HD product line of advanced
training simulators.
"The IVR HD series of firearms training systems represents a significant
milestone in simulator capability, as well as affordability, which makes this
patent application of particular importance," commented Bob Ferris, VirTra
Systems' president and head engineer. "As the originator of multi-screen
training systems for situational awareness and judgmental use-of-force, it is
appropriate that we seek protection of our intellectual property."
VirTra Systems' IVR HD series is the first line of affordable, 360-degree, true
high-definition use-of-force training simulators.
"This application effectively secures a 'patent pending' status on all of our
multi-screen products, giving notice that we will comprehensively protect the
innovations we have developed for the marketplace," concluded Ferris.
VirTra Systems secured a patent for its Universal Control Board(TM) (UCB) in
January 2002. The UCB is a powerful computer adjunct which greatly expands and
enhances an off-the-shelf PC's ability to control and activate a multitude of
hardware devices, without user intervention, and is important to many of the
company's products.
