To be clear for any holders of Alloy Steel out there, the reason I am not worried about monsters doing something like a Pukoil deal with Gene is because Gene has a clear track record IMO only.
He had an MOU with UT that didn't go thru- Gene said because it wasn't profitable enough for the company. Keep in mind, Gene (well Kensington to be accurate) gets 2% royalties on sales. So he walked away from something that could've generated $100K for him over 2 years (but may not have been good for the cashflows of the corp because he didn't think it worked well for the company).
The former US distributor (per a phone conversation so I'm recalling) even sat down with a potential licensing deal partner and said Gene wanted too much so it didn't work out (don't think I discussed that before so will post this on the AYSI board too and probably want to keep that in the VMC community). Again that 2% royalty was there for Gene but he decided to play safe and protect the company's position rather than license out and generate more short term revenues (and royalties for himself). I think he is in this to see the company do it on its own (well, with his guidance of course).

I don't know Gene personally, but am going off previous phone calls and E-Mails with people. Along with his stellar money tight management of the company over the years.

The Nelson insiders can't hold a flame to Gene IMO only. But of ocurse I'm drunk.

Just didn't want people to think I was being hypocritical since AYSI is in the same structural position as far as shares being majority owned so potentially open to a Pukoil/Nelson/Chaparral debacle. I truly belive Gene would never sell out the shareholders that way. He'd rather keep on fighting independently and tell the bigger boys to leave the company alone:)
IMO only, the crown jewels are safe with Gene.

I know, another pump by me. I'm just stating what I believe so take it FWIW and of course my buttinsky is in way too deep in this company. Luckily at lower levels, but it is way in there.

OK, no more AYSI posts from me on VMC for today. Just wanted to clarify my position:)
