wow Bizzy, thank-you!
I have actually done my own communion at home. Sometimes I sit alone and talk to God like he is sitting right across the table from me. On occassion I have even set a place for Jesus to dine with me in spirit. On one such occassion, I had some wine and bread before dinner. I took the bread and broke a piece and said, Lord...you said we should do this in remembrance of you. I give you thanks for this bread. And, this I do in remembrance of you. I put the bread in mouth and then took my cup of wine and said, Lord, this is the new covenant of your blood that was shed for me, I sipped the wine and said, Lord, may the body and blood of your new covenenant keep me and protect me, Amen
Some people may think me a bit touched if they could hear me talking and not see anyone there. But, I don't care. That is MY relationship with God. And my Lord Jesus....sometimes when I amm so overwhelmed, I ask him to sit on my sofa and I lay my head down and say let my head rest on your lap Lord because I know then I will feel better.
Am I nuts? Maybe. But, I have survived many hard times this way.
