Everybody used to moan how they hated all of those preferred shares, and now they are gone. Yes, they might have "sucked up common shares", but the company would then have to pay dividends on them. You can't get something for nothing.
The rest of your note complains about the company's past performance. Obviously, I agree they have done a lot of things wrong, but I don't see how that makes today's PR bad.
