It's amazing how little we really know about the choices we might make until actually faced with them. Given the expenses involved to get a DP sentence unless the perp is very young it is often cheaper to house them forever. Especially if we can keep the ACLU from turning prisons into resorts.

I support the death penalty, but would like to see it enforced without 10+ years of appeals. We have a guy (Ziegler, Tommy) here in FL that is pushing his 25th year on Death Row with no execution in sight. Might as well have been a life sentence.

You might want to rethink this one, especially if your 5'8,160 and the perp is 6'4, 260!
