Aye! That it was. I started trading options in late `96. Mostly buying calls on split candidates looking to catch the uptick on the announcement. Best I ever had was a little Y2k solution company that split 2 for 1 and the resulting uptick caused a short squeeze. Went from $45 presplit to $60 post split. Almost got rich overnight with that one, Zitel, alas I don't remember the ticker but I believe it has gone bye bye.

It was indeed a heady time for the market. Thrilling days of yesteryear!
