My son has a Laptop bought about 1 year ago, it is
HP pavilion dv6040us, windows XP
AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-52
When he turn it on all lights come on key board but screen stays black, it makes a beeping sound that comes from the inside (not the speakers)and stays black. About 4 weeks before this whenever he started it up he says, that the lights on the keyboard would flick on and off for a about 1 minute before staying on completely and then the computer would work fine after that. Now the monitor wont power on and the beeping sound comes. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

How I can find out what kind of mother board(system board) it has?
Could it be a system board problem?
