The fee mentioned in the article, of $1000, would be paid by the client (ie the retailer, supplier, etc) - there would be no fee to the consumer for that service; only whatever they pay already to use their phone features.
I agree the article was disjointed, and not objective really. One point that analysts need to 'get' (which I presume is being communicated to analysts etc) are ALL of the applications for this product. The consumer aspect is a small fraction of the usage potential. Many many more applications, many of which we have discussed on the board..such as internal business applications and the like.
Potential is not limited to the consumer point and click aspect emphasized in the recent articles and video.
