I don't know about Christmas Ale but I DO KNOW ABOUT the Passover Honey Beer. I also know that micro brewers are very finicky about the yeast they use. When they say "retooling" it means they are sterilizing the vats for the next batch for the next round of fermentation which then takes weeks. The Passover beer is the big seller and has won all the awards and would be consistent with their business model. JMHO. Small micro brewers do have erratic deliveries to the retailers because it takes time to brew with the limited number of vats they have, it is also why the 6 packs are over $7!!!
To the board: Any one who is more familiar with home brewing please add to this as I my knowledge in the art is limited. I tried to brew Quaker Oats once with Fleishmann's dry yeast and I got sick as a dog.
