Gulf investors gather in Rabat

More than 100 investors will attend the two-day "Gulf Invest" meeting in Rabat Wednesday (November 21st) and Thursday to explore investment opportunities in Morocco, Le Matin reports. During the first eight months of 2007, Gulf countries invested some 2 billion euros in Morocco, mainly in industry, tourism, construction, banking and insurance. According to official figures, Gulf investments rose from some 240 million euros in 2001 to 1.7 billion euros in 2006, comprising 28% of all investments in the country. Another record high is anticipated in 2007.
