Forgive lapse in posting and responses, it looks like the Army just won't leave me alone. As Al Pacino said, you get out, AND THEY SUCK YOU BACK IN!! I've been out and about trying to get the unit back together after our tour. Containers are arriving, people need to be transferred, pay issues, etc... Wars come and go, but paperwork lasts forever!
You are correct on the cards. When we were out there, and December rolled around, there was NOTHING better than the great cards and letters we got from folks back home. THe best were the ones hand made by the small kids at schools! They always had great drawings, and some kind of patriotic saying. It is good to see they still do that at some schools!
Hope all is well with you and family. Thanksgiving is coming up, and so is Veterans Day!! I am getting chilly out here in NEw York, I actually saw FROST on my windshield the other day! FROST!! Man, I am starting to long for those 125+ degree days!!
