[southside]We had to live near the Chgo livestock yards , cattle, etc you name it was there. There wasn't a lot of homes back then as there are today. Education___12 yrs. plus college and correspondent courses and reading many books. 3 years R.A enlisted service, 1st boot at ft. carson, co. second 8 at fort misery, mo. then off to the 101st at ft. campbell, ky. 18 MONTHS. then spent 18 months in verdun, france. i was in hdqtrs and hdqtrs service and did some in telligence work too. i had a critical mos 711 draftsman, etc. MY WIFE AND I GOT MARRIED N VERDUN, FRANCE. YES, TWICE IN ONE DAY. BY THE FRENCH FIRST THEN BY OUR MILITARY 101ST CHAPLIN. Just to show ya you should get your contract done right as persons do today. I was promised draftsman's mos but was in heavy equipment til i went to france. Retired as an electrical engineer. I have lead one great life and would do it the same. Then the bad news of losing Cathy our daughter dec.19.2006. This is one of my toughest loss of my lifetime. Yes my Wife and I have lead a wonderful life. We have relocate to arizona.
