Properly managed (Matt's job) it might encourage more to post.
I suggest a limit of 4 or 5 to a ticker, since all boards are moderated, try this arrangement:

XXX plus side
XXX down side
XXX off topic
XXX Filings, News and PR's
XXX whatever area I didn't cover that someone wants a thread for.

It might even make it easier to spot an unruly user. Posts not specific to the board's theme would be subject to deletion. If the Mods are strict in their enforcement the F,N&PR threads won't likely end up on the hot list and it might make the IHUB 10Kwiz setup easier (read less expensive) to code in the end.
