I work for a Power Company. We are in the midst of converting old Mainframe technology to modern software/hardware.
This is a monumental task, involving $ millions, and contractors galore. This has been in development for almost 1 year, with a drop dead "go live" of January 1st. Everyone involved worked under that assumption, and the tension could be cut with a knife during this development/testing phase.
Management has made a decision to add 3 monthes to the project, to get it right.
Rarely, if ever, does a major rollout of new technology meet the deadlines intended, and conveyed to all affected.
No room for rollbacks,it must be right, after intense testing.
I say this only to assure you all that expectations of a time-line are always dependent on the " human factor". Delays are inevitable, due to our inability to foresee when "X" is implemented, will "Y" really talk to it.

Theory versus reality will always encounter challenges heretofore unexpected.

Implementing a new technology, or figuring out a new way to cut firewood efficiently will always involve setbacks.
Best Regards, my fellow investors.
