City cops are looking for a man allegedly responsible for forcing seniors into an ATM fraud scheme.

Police issued a warrant yesterday for 46-year-old Brian Casavant, who is wanted on charges of extortion, break and enter, committing assault, theft under $5,000 and two counts of fraud under $5,000.

Casavant allegedly forcibly entered the homes of three elderly Winnipeggers and demanded they accompany him to a bank machine.

He allegedly has a history of promising victims he will buy something for them, give them money or pay them for helping him, then depositing an empty envelope into their account and withdrawing money instead.

Police say Casavant uses many different names and schemes.

He is also wanted by Calgary and Edmonton police for fraud-related offences and on a Canada-wide warrant for violating parole.

Casavant is described as 6-feet tall, 300 pounds, with blue eyes and a blemished complexion. He has a tattoo of a heart and dagger on his left arm and a genie tattoo on his right.

Police ask anyone with information about Casavant's location or who may have had contact with him to call detectives at 986-2868 or Crime Stoppers at 786-TIPS.
