OT - EVDO, I use the original version of EVDO but getting a new phone in a couple weeks when Sprint releases their new lineup. Should be even faster. Early and late in the day, with less people on, its like broadband. Very fast. mid-day, it slows down some, but still much faster than non-EVDO phones. I use it as a modem for my laptop. Anywhere I go, as long as I have Sprint digital service, I don't need a "hotspot". I just plug my phone into my laptop and surf and do email, etc.

Without the laptop, the phone downloads webpages very quickly. More quickly than anyone else's phone. Uploading (i.e. sending emails from my PC to the webserver) is like dialup, but EVDO revA is supposedly 6-8 times faster now for uploading.

I saw my buddy with his iPhone the other day on Sunday. We did a head to head on the internet. I blew him away. He was pissed for spending $500 on a pieceof$hit iPhone with CellularOne as the service behind it. My phone loaded web content in 1-10th the time. The only thing he had better than me was the bigger screen and touch-pad active control. Big deal...we still got the same info. If we were both doing business, I would have been done in 10 minutes and he would have taken 30-40 minutes to do the same stuff.

Sorry to all those that actually bought an iPhone!
