Obviously you do not understand the term:
reservation.

But even if you do, The press release does not claim they made a reservation. Please lookee, lookee:

"The company has also filed with NASDAQ all the required documentation for a new symbol reflecting the new corporate name and expects the new symbol to be issued and in effect by the end of next week".

Getting a new symbol is not the same as reserving a new symbol
