Because RE bought now at the market bottom will increase better than any increase from manipulation of a stock in a company with no assets. If this company has many millions net assets in RE, we don't really care if there are 4 billion shares of stock outstanding, of which the CEO owns half, do we? Real assets, along with appreciation and cash flow will be followed by real pps increases. BTW, altho the RE mkt is generally down, there are some hot spots - and the RE in LV area has begun to recover.
