The Principals:

First American Stock Transfer, Inc was established in 1987 by Philip M. Young and his son, David M. Young. F.A.S.T. is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and subject to regular examinations by that agency. F.A.S.T. has signed agreements with 280 public companies and continues to expand operations.

The computer program used by First American Stock Transfer is the same used by over 50 commercial banks throughout the nation. This enables us to process any request that could be made by a public company.

Philip M. Young – Founder
Known as the “dean” of Arizona over-the-counter stocks, Phil Young was a founder and president of Young, Smith and Peacock, the largest of the Arizona-owned stock brokerages where he specialized in initial public offerings. When he started First American Stock Transfer in 1987, he brought with him 40 years experience in the securities business - including trading, underwriting, private placement and retail. His acumen concerning SEC and NASD regulations far surpasses most in the industry. In addition, he has held a membership in the Chicago Stock Exchange and Pacific Stock Exchange and currently holds membership in several civic and business organizations.

Salli A. Marinov, M.Ed. – President/Chief Executive Officer
Salli brings to First American extensive experience in the securities industry that spans 27 years when she first earned her Series 7 license and started as a retail broker with a West Coast securities firm in 1979. She later became an NASD over-the-counter trader and eventually owned her own successful business school aimed at licensing new securities brokers. Through her expertise, First American Stock Transfer has grown exponentially and stabilized into one of the fastest-growing transfer agencies in the industry. Salli has a Master’s Degree from Northern Arizona University and has held numerous certifications in the securities industry as well as the government, counseling and teaching arenas. She is currently a Board Member of the Securities Transfer Association, the leading SRO of the industry.

John Lorenzen – Senior Vice President
John has lived in the Phoenix area for over 50 years. He received his Bachelor of Science in accounting from Arizona State University and is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. He is certified by the Institute of Certified Bankers as a corporate trust specialist and was previously employed for over 32 years by the Bank of America (and its predecessors, Security Pacific Bank and Arizona Bank) in the trust marketing, administration and management departments. He currently holds a membership in CTA, an organization for corporate transfer agents that provides nationwide networking.

Laura Cataldo – Vice President / Operations
Laura came to First American with 17 years of brokerage experience. A native New Yorker, after attending CW Post on Long Island, Laura moved to Los Angeles to attend USC and began her brokerage career with Bear, Stearns in Los Angeles in 1978. During her 15 + years with Bear, she was the first female Registered Representative with a Series 3 and 7, the first woman admitted into the Million Dollar Club, two time recipient of the Trader of the Year award and the manager of the Futures Trading Department. In 1995, Laura left the brokerage industry to pursue other avenues in her career. After moving to Phoenix, she met Phil Young and joined his team with First American Stock Transfer in 2003.

James D. Ebentier – Chief Financial Officer
Jim is a senior financial executive with over 45 years of diverse experience in accounting, financial planning, consulting, cost control management, data processing systems development, tax return preparation and forensic accounting. Jim has worked with various industries ie; aerospace, international container shipping, aluminum structural manufacturing, environmental testing/control, electrical equipment manufacturing, and others. Jim was educated at the University of North Dakota where he received a BSBA and MSBA.
