Spunkyknight, you must be one of my non-southern friends if you really do not know, "Bootlegging". It is/was normally associated with illegal selling/activity of whiskey, etc. in a lot of southern states. BUT, I am sure that you knew what it meant. It was all over the place during the prohibition era.

To me "Bootlegging of oil?" =s stealing and selling. I could bet that when LGL responds, he could name three or four companies and a lot of "family", as defined by me in post #10145. My guess is that the biggest offender/company has not been discussed very much on this board. Am I correct LGL?

Cattle rustlers also may/could/might be a valid/invalid comparison. I wonder what would happen if time was turned back to the days and activity associated with cattle rustlers. WOW, that could even be a FEDERAL DEFECIET REDUCTION ACTIVITY. If my history memory has not been diminished by the possible BS flowing like the oil/$/shares/dissipation, I do not think room and board cost very much.

LGL, sorry for responding to a question addressed to you. Please respond to Spunkyknight.
