Have spent hours trying to get an answer on why it takes (2-3 weeks) to get your certs, or (4-6 weeks) depending on who you talk to. Brokers say their part is 2-3 business days where the request is electronically sent to the DTC. The DTC then notifies the transfer agent for the request. According to the transfer agent by 2 day Fex Ex delivery. Then Transfer agent says no more than 4 days he sends the certs info to the DTC. Then, DTC notifies TA they have received certs. DTC mails certs directly to me according to who you talk to, or sends them back to broker to be mailed to me. I have been able to talk to everyone except the DTC. They will not talk to anyone via phone regarding certificates YOU own.
Can someone please explain why this is a 6 week process ? No one has the answer as to why it takes that long to get your certs via mail and there is no policy in place to speak of.
And all this electronic request takes 6 weeks ?
