FFD Financial and First Federal Community Bank Announce Additional Expansion Plans and Coshocton Office Closing
DOVER, Ohio, Oct. 2, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- FFD Financial Corporation (Nasdaq:FFDF), parent company of First Federal Community Bank (the "Bank"), announced today that the Bank has acquired land on U.S. Route 62 in the village of Berlin, Holmes County, Ohio for the construction of a full-service branch office in Berlin. This new branch will represent the Bank's fifth full-service branch banking office and officially marks its expansion into Holmes County. The Bank recently (September 25, 2007) announced it had converted its Sugarcreek, Ohio, office to a full-service branch. As the Bank evaluated its opportunities in Sugarcreek and Holmes County, it came to the conclusion that closing the Coshocton, Ohio limited-service facility would allow it to better focus on growth in these areas. The Coshocton office will be closed on December 31, 2007.

"Our reception in Sugarcreek and Holmes County has been beyond our expectations," said Trent Troyer, President of FFD Financial and the Bank. "The general economy and business environment as well as the close proximity of our corporate office make Sugarcreek and Holmes County a better fit with our expansion plans. The closing of the Coshocton office helps us to better devote our resources to a market area that gives us greater growth potential. The Coshocton community has been good to us, however, and we hope to retain our customers by continuing to offer great personal service at our nearby locations."

Although formal drawings are not yet complete for the new Berlin office, the office will be architecturally consistent with the area and include both lobby and drive-thru teller capabilities, 24-hour ATM and night depository services, as well as other state of the art design features for customers.

FFD Financial Corporation is traded on the NASDAQ Capital Market under the symbol FFDF. First Federal Community Bank has full service offices in downtown Dover, downtown New Philadelphia, on the Boulevard in Dover, and in Sugarcreek and operates a limited-service office in Coshocton. The Corporation maintains an interactive web site at www.onlinefirstfed.com .
