Fortified Holdings Ships NOMAD Incident Command Platform to Coventry, Rhode Island -- Sale Facilitated by Dept. of Homeland Security Grant Funding
Fortified Holdings Corp. (OTCBB: FFDH) ("Fortified" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, Fortified DataCom (www.fortifieddatacom.com), has today shipped its NOMAD C4XSB Command & Control communications package to the Department of Emergency Management for the Town of Coventry, RI (pop. 34,672 -- area 64.8 square miles).

The shipment provides Coventry's emergency managers with a sophisticated level of command networking capability usually available only to larger municipalities with significant financial resources. The NOMAD units have undergone rigorous testing during numerous emergency exercises and simulations held by a variety of Regional and Federal Emergency support agencies since the initial product roll-out just over a year ago and have consistently gone on to meet the capabilities and criteria of equipment and systems usually costing tens of thousands of dollars more.

The NOMAD Incident Command Platform along with the rest of Fortified's products have been designed for interoperability, scalability and are priced affordably for organizations both large and small. This sale represents a clear indication to the emergency services marketplace that the product meets the requirements for alternative funding sources, most notably in this case via a program offered under the auspices of the Department of Homeland Security (http://www.dhs.gov/xopnbiz/grants/). According to an article published in USA Today dated June 25, 2007: "Almost $5 billion of $16.04 billion in grants approved by Congress for states and Washington, D.C., from fiscal 2002 to 2007 remain in federal coffers, according to Homeland Security Department budget figures."

As part of the evaluation of the NOMAD and NOMAD Mesh Network technology by the Town of Coventry, Fortified successfully participated in an exercise held by the municipality simulating a school hostage scenario as well as a chemical and bio-hazard event. During the exercise, the NOMAD provided incident commanders with a number of previously unavailable capabilities. These included:

-- Remote officer dispatch capability initiated from the scene of the
event. Highlighted NOMAD's ability to communicate directly to cell phone
and satellite networks including voice-over IP networks.

-- A mobile mesh network was created around the event area to allow for
the deployment of Fortified supplied wireless IP flashlight-sized cameras
in strategic locations for remote viewing. This provided remote real-time
situational awareness to multiple area command laptops and to monitoring
equipment stationed in command vehicles.

-- The NOMAD provided simultaneous internet access to numerous exercise
participants using laptops on-scene throughout the exercise.

-- Participants were provided with enhanced situational awareness at the
scene and ability to communicate with, and access data from officers
located at the municipal Police Station.

The successful outcome of this exercise is typical of the many simulations and tests the NOMAD platform has participated in throughout recent months. The sale of the product was provided through a lead generated by the team at Stratos Global (www.stratosglobal.com), a major global supplier of satellite telecommunications services and a strategic reseller of Fortified's products.

Company CEO Brendan T. Reilly commented, "We are extremely excited to see that even smaller municipalities are now able to access advanced emergency communications capabilities. With nearly 5 billion dollars of grant funding available, virtually every town across the nation could take advantage of this opportunity to ensure their operational capability is intact in virtually any emergency, especially those situations where local power and infrastructure is knocked out. We see this as an extraordinary opportunity for municipal emergency managers from coast to coast to improve their operational readiness with little impact on budgetary restrictions."
