I need an explanation from someone. As far as I understand it, short interest is a rolling average of daily short position in a company.
This is what pinksheets.com shows for CBAY:
Sep 27, 2007 751,867 -4.61 27,272,682 1.00
751,867 & 27,272,682. Is that shareholders, shares? The average short has around 4 mil shares and the stock is shorted 27 mil right now? A nice number, 10x my investment, but less than some individuals have here. MOASS? Uhmmmm
