this whole thread is starting to remind me of when Bill Clinton tried to argue the definition of the word "if" during legal proceedings.

The Supreme Court of Quebec issued an injunction to prohibit MCCY from inferring that the technology was theirs.

It's probably not worth re-hashing what exact words were used in the past, clearly many people felt they were inferring it or there wouldn't have been an injunction.
