I had an interesting question sent to me about the Chairman concept...from this board...
Someone had made the comment somewhere (via emmail or RB)
Lots of people think this is like Communist..it's normal if you don't understand the concept. See, the Chairman regulates the board, we regulate the chairman...
So, let's say we have 3000 boards. That's 3000 people (a max of 9000 with Directors) that are watching and monitoring the boards for spam, personal attacks, bashing. That means that just 1 (one) person can now maintain the entire site from a control panel...that one person (Community guy) sees ALL posts that get removed and it's nothing but a single click to RESTORE the posts.
Every post that is deleted is REVIEWED. We've only restored about like 10 posts out of 600 deleted. See, it really isn't that bad...600 posts deleted so far?? that .02% of total posts posted so far!!!! Two hundreths of a %...
And the thing is this..I love it when people call it Communist..Communist is a dictatorship with one person basically telling everybody who the man is. This site is regulated by your OWN PEERS that CAN BE REPLACED within 2 seconds if they are causing trouble..so, it's no big brother concept or someone watching your everyword...it's simply an efficient filtering system for trash...and on top of it all..we've only had 4 bashing posted deleted...the rest were spam and personal attacks..
Anyways hope that helps you guys see where I am headed with this whole thing and answeres the question , whereever it came from.
