As I said in my email to him, this has got to be the most confusing space to follow for the common (ie. not awk) investor.

Intel believes that Security is a critical new sector for the chipset and the platform as a whole. As a result, Their new chipset Plans Include and integrated TPM that will be capable of providing all of the TPM functionality without an additional chip and Danbury Technology which will enable bulk encryption for hard drive storage devices. Danbury will be a competitive technology to hardware full disk encryption from Seagate and others. There are advantages for both companies in different implementations. Raid arrays will benefit from encryption on the motherboard. Encryption in the drive is still the best for laptops and external drives. But we will see them compete. Wave is agnostic we are supporting Danbury and we are supporting all drive manufacturers. First motherboards should appear second half of next year so there is time for the market to mature before the competition shows up. We are pleased to see intel bring their full marketing muscle to security now that they have chip revenue that will be driven by security. Wave is in a great position building the TPM, Danbury tech support under the VPRO brand. Our servers provide the key management and device management in conjunction with AMT technology which allows us to manage these devices even when they are turned off.

ITPM and Danbury Technology signal a huge development in the market it is directly beneficial to Wave and provides a clear roadmap to how these technologies end up on every PC. The is no uncertainty that integrated security will be used by everyone and they can already start today.
