I don't have to call, I had my principles license for 28 years and I know the rules; I use E*Trade and have never had a problem with them. There have been times where they've been wrong (which is rarely) but all I need to do is tell them what should be done, to talk to their compliance dept. (I tell them what the rule is) and it gets done correctly. I left the broker biz 7 years ago but still remember clearly what the rules are...
