Fox censored the Emmy Awards last night. They cut off Sally Field in mid sentence. She was saluting women of power in television series. She concluded her speech by saying, "...and if women were in power in this country there would be no goddamn wars!". However Fox cut away just before she said "goddamn wars". They defend their decision because they said it is forbidden to air profanity. However the word "goddamn" is not on the list of officially "profane" words that are forbidden on network TV. Insiders said that the real reason for the deletion was political. Fox did not want the anti-war statement aired. In other words, Fox was just being Fox.
