OJ was arrested this morning and hauled off in hand cufs. He's charged with two counts of robbery with use of a deadly weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery, burglary with a deadly weapon, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and coercion. A conviction on the most serious charge, robbery with use of a deadly weapon, could bring a sentence of three to 35 years for each of the two counts. County District Attorney David Rogers said, "He's facing a lot of time."

Simpson was being transferred to a detention center for booking, Capt. James Dillon said. Dillon said he did not know whether Simpson would be able to post bail and be released Sunday. His history of fleeing (in a Bronco) may not help.

At least one other person has been arrested and police said Sunday that they were searching for four others in connection with the robbery.

Besides the two firearms, police said they seized other evidence during early morning searches of two residences, Lt. Clint Nichols said.

"It was evidence of a crime that was committed," Nichols said. "And I believe we recovered some clothing that the individual was wearing in the commission of the robbery."

Simpson claims he was only retrieving items that belonged to him. There is evidence that at least some of the items taken did not belong to him. He also claims no guns were used. However several guns have been recovered, and police have evidence that they were used in the break in.
