Dory...Wave's FDE bundles:


1. PC OEM (eg. Dell):

Bundle is full version ETS which includes TDM.

Royalty= $7.50.


2. Seagate:

Bundle is TDM/ESC only (not full version ETS).

Royalty= $1.00

Only bundled if the Seagate channel options for it. Also not bundled if PC OEM (eg. Dell) already bundles direct from Wave.

Note: ASI and Tarox opted for the Seagate bundle and Lenovo did not.


I don't know why the above would not apply to the Barracuda FDE as well. I would certainly expect Dell to Wave-bundle the Barracuda drives since desktops are a similiar enterprise customer demand as the laptops. I don't know why it's not possible with Seagate as well (but only if the channel options it or if the channel does not already bundle direct from Wave).
