The study they are talking about affirms useful activity without worse than expected side effects, but there's not a lot of detail. If Dr. Sidor says she's got data that support single agent activity, I'm inclined to accept that.

A 17% success rate for breast cancer patients without other treatment options could be a blockbuster, even if it only worked for 4 months. But, these results would have to be sustained in further studies in order to know it for sure.

So these results are encouraging, but not conclusive, IMO. It's exactly what one would expect to see in a successful Phase II study.
