Jet Blue is an interesting story. On the left coast we had a neat little upstart airline called Reno Air. They flew into less expensive airports (San Jose and Oakland instead of San Francisco) and passed the savings along to the passengers. I could fly from Portland to Reno or to Las Vegas for much less than on United or Alaska Air on the same routes (good prices to Pheonix, too). Reno Air got bought up by Alaska, I think; Bye, bye cheap fares. It must be a cut throat business in the air. So far I don't see a business model that will pay APS, DigitalWay and us. I understand wanting to get our DigEplayers out, but if the airlines don't pay anything, where are the advertising dollars going to come from?
