I think they hope to uplist to the amex in the future which requires a 3.00 per share value when they are first accepted. ( Not that is has to hold it at 3.00 or higher as many amex stocks are below 3.
That could be good, and is more attrative to investors to invest in an amex stock that fully reports. As opposed to a pinkie stock isn't as regulated.

Time will tell, but "I'll be fine in 2009 ! ;)
